Allora driver forfeits new car

AN ALLORA woman's new car has been forfeited to the state after she was stopped for unlicensed driving.

Allora police officer-in-charge Sergeant Des Canning said the 26-year-old was pulled over on Allora Dr about 3pm Saturday.

He said the woman explained she had taken delivery of the Ford Falcon sedan only that morning.

Sgt Canning said subsequent checks revealed the woman was unlicensed.

He said it also emerged she had three other unlicensed driving offences since 2012.

Police went to her home on Monday morning, serving her a notice to appear in court and impounding the vehicle.

Sgt Canning said the offence triggered an automatic forfeiture of the vehicle.

The woman is due to appear in Warwick Magistrates Court on August 13.
