Driver involved in Sandy Creek crash fronts court

THE driver of a B-Double fronted court today on charges relating to a three-vehicle crash near Sandy Creek Rd in February.
Gheorghe Katana, 58, from Victoria was charged with two counts of the dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm following a crash on the Cunningham Hwy on February 18.
He appeared in Warwick Magistrates Court today and had one of his charges amended to account for the subsequent death of 88-year-old Ivy Little in the week following the crash.
His case has been adjourned for a committal mention in Warwick Magistrates Court on June 28.
