Duo's special bond
WORK colleagues Izzy Thorley and Dr John Kiss share a special bond that is unlike most others.
This week Miss Thorley celebrated her birthday, alongside the man who welcomed her into the world 18 years ago - Dr Kiss.
The popular Warwick doctor delivered baby Izzy at the Warwick Hospital in 1994 and on Wednesday learnt of their interesting past.
While Miss Thorley always knew her colleague was the doctor on board during her birth, the Condamine Medical Centre receptionist only let the doctor in on their long history this week.
Dr Kiss said being a doctor in a small community allowed him to watch babies and children like Miss Thorley grow into adults.
"That's one of the advantages of being a doctor in Warwick - you get a lot more contact with people and families," he said.
Miss Thorley plans to celebrate her 18th birthday in style and surrounded by friends this weekend.
