East puts on Fiesta

WARWICK East Bowls Club's Rose Fiesta tournament was a big success, with teams coming from far and wide for two days of fun on the green.

There were 12 teams which participated in the tournament, with members travelling from places such as Toowoomba, Pittsworth, The Summit, Inglewood, Sunnybank and Stanthorpe.

The championships were held round-robin style, with four rounds in total.

Warwick East Bowls Club president Margaret Wright said it was a "fantastic" competition. "It's lovely to see players come from across the different zones," she said.

"Everybody had an absolutely wonderful time."
