Eastwell places in Christmas Run rodeo
RODEO: Warwick cowboy Mitch Eastwell has finished fourth in the first rodeo on the Australian Professional Rodeo Association Christmas Run.
Eastwell was fourth in the rope and tie at the Myrtleford Golden Spurs Rodeo this week in north-east Victoria in a time of 10.5 seconds.
The event was won by Emerald rider Shane Kenny in 4.85 seconds.
Tooma (NSW) cowboy Brad Pierce won the saddle bronc with 78 points. Millmerran cowboy John McNamee was fourth with 71.
Other winners were Cody Tyrrell (bareback, 81), Nick Painter (steer wrestling, 3.5), Shane Kenny and Clay Bush (team roping, 6.6), Kerrie Holder (barrel race, 16.976) and Cherie O'Donoghue (breakaway roping, 2.3).
There were no scores in the bull ride at Myrtleford.
