Eight pages of junior league photos in Saturday Daily News
THE Eastern Suburbs Junior Rugby League Club will put its best foot forward as hosts of the Warwick and District Junior Rugby League semi finals this Saturday.
Club president Vicki Kirkland said the club had 164 registered players.
"Numbers are up from last year,” she said.
"One of the highlights of semi-final day is the appointment of five match officials from Suburbs for games on Saturday,” he said.
"We have three under-16 players and two from the U14s who will be one of the three match officials in a game on the day.
"Other players from the club will help out around the grounds.”
Kirkland said the Eastern Suburbs club had been selling raffle tickets in a multi-draw for the past month.
"Tickets will be available on the day, we appreciate the great support from many local businesses,” she said.
"This will be our biggest day of footy for the past two seasons and we are hoping for a large crowd.
"People not involved in a club are most welcome.”
The Eastern Suburbs U10 team will play Collegians in a demonstration game from 10am at Collegians.
The $5 admission charge for includes a program. Children 16 years and younger will be admitted free of charge.
