RUGBY LEAGUE: More than 80 past players and supporters will be in Warwick on Saturday for the Collegians Dragons 50-year reunion.

The day will commemorate premiership victories in A, reserve and under-18 grade in 1967 in the Warwick and District Rugby League St George Cup competition.

Co-organiser Paul Coote said 80 people had accepted for the afternoon already and more were welcome.

"Anyone who loves rugby league and is keen to come along is welcome, even if they didn't play for Collegians,” he said.

Guest speaker and retired Broncos forward Shane Webcke and his long-time A-grade coach Wayne Bennett will both be at the reunion.

Bennett was U18 captain in 1967 after also playing in the Collegians team which won the 1966 premiership with one of the best teams to wear the blue and white of the Dragons.

Lindsay Orchard will travel from North Queensland and Ian Lucas is coming from Sydney. Players from earlier eras are also welcome.

They were also at a reunion organised by Ros and Mike Keim in October, 2015, which brought U18 players from 1965 and 1966 together during a Warwick Cowboys home game.

There will be food available during the afternoon, cost $25 a head.

Bookings on 46612410 or 0427495816.

Tickets also available at the door.
