Eisteddfod entrants on stage this week

MARVELLOUS entertainment by talented performers from the Granite Belt and beyond will be showcased during the four days of the Border District Eisteddfod this week.

Eisteddfods are a terrific forum for performers of all ages to gain performing experience and we are fortunate to have had an eisteddfod in Stanthorpe for many years.

Organisers encourage members of the community to come and support local talent and be assured of fabulous entertainment.

Programs are available free online at www.border districteisteddfod.org.au or can be purchased at Hot Copper or at the venue for $5.

This year the eisteddfod, from June 1–4, will be held at the Stanthorpe Christian Fellowship Church, on Amosfield Rd.

Competition has been scheduled for:

Wednesday, June 1: Drama and performance;

Thursday, June 2–4: Music.

Entry is $5 for adults, with children admitted free. There will be tea, coffee and cake available on the day.

So head along and watch and support the children perform at the eisteddfod.
