Events you need to be at this week...

IF YOU have a car and want to try it out on Warwick Dragway, Saturday is the day.

The Warwick District Drag Racing Association will host a new event, the No Prep Kaos.

Saturday will herald the introduction of No Prep Kaos racing to Warwick, an event which is popular in America.

Gates open at noon and there will be qualifying and racing from 2.30pm.

Matthew Loy is the organiser of an event which is based around simulated street racing.

As the name of the event starts, the idea is to turn up in a street car with no special preparation for a day at the drags.

There is a prize pool of up to $10,000 depending on nominations. Competitors are travelling from as far as the South Coast of New South Wales.

There are 50 nominations already.
