Hip food trend brought to Warwick through new business
IT'S a craze sweeping the hip city crowds and Warwick mum Natasha Mason has made sure this region is not going to miss out.
Earlier this year, Miss Mason started her own small business The Good Graze, to save party organisers and romantic hearts a whole lot of hassle.
Miss Mason said the The Good Graze would be a saviour to anyone looking to organise nibblies for a gathering but didn't want to spend the time doing it themselves.
"We make gorgeous picnic boxes, platters, grazing boxes, perfect for any social occasion, from a romantic lunch in the park, to an engagement party or business meeting," she said.
"Getting to the shops and picking up all the ingredients to put one of these together can be very time-consuming and presentation and creativity is key, which is something I pride myself on."
Miss Mason said the idea was inspired by seeing similar businesses pop up on Instagram.
"Also any time I visit my sisters, this is what we do," she said.
"Grab a whole heap of great nibblies and make a platter.
"It might not look like much, but these plates will easily satisfy a few people, especially if there are a few drinks as well."
Miss Mason said the business had gone through a few name changes on the way to becoming The Good Graze.
"Everything I chose was already taken," she said.
"That just shows the popularity of the idea, springing up around the country.
"But it's not something I'd seen pop up here, so I wanted to give it a go.
"I really only started in February, but I'd been thinking about it for a while.
"The benefits are a smaller initial outlay, everything is purchased fresh so there's a lot to be gained and not much to lose.
"If it takes off then the opportunity to become more flexible with work and spending more time with my three boys, would be fantastic.
"It's something I would rather have tried than have kept thinking about and never done."
Miss Mason said grazing boxes would be perfect for parties, gatherings, a day at the races, to take to a family event or picnics.
"The options are endless," she said.
"They'll work just about anywhere and I'll cater for any dietary or individual needs.
"Already I've made up a few boxes for Valentine's Day, a few business platters and a healthy fresh fruit platter for a kid's party."
