Expect frosts again
THE weekend brought some much-needed rain to the region on Friday night and Saturday.
Warwick had 26mm over the period with some areas receiving heavier falls.
Storms did try to build in the west on Friday night but didn't have enough energy to continue.
Sunday had some high level cumulostratus cloud around for most of the day and light SW winds.
Today the region will start to come under the influence of a high but cloud will also stream in from the NW on the jet stream. This may keep the temperature a bit on the cool side.
Tuesday will start to cool with frost in low-lying areas but it should clear to a fine day with a light wind from the SW.
Wednesday we will come under the full influence of the high and it is forecast to be cold with temperatures in the negatives and widespread frosts. The day should be fine and clear with light southerly winds.
Thursday will be cool in the morning but no frosts are expected. It should be a fine day but there is a chance of cloud building up along the ranges in the afternoon as the high starts to push moisture onto the Queensland and New South Wales coasts.
Friday will be much the same with cloud along the mountains, no frosts expected and a fine, clear day.
At this stage Saturday should be fine with mild temperatures but Sunday may see some cloud build-up as another wet event starts to move into the region.
