Express app helps job seekers

THOUSANDS more Australian job seekers will be able to complete government business on the go, thanks to the release of the Express Plus Job Seekers app for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, available now from the App Store.

Minister for Human Services Senator Kim Carr said the new Express Plus Job Seekers app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, would make life easier for thousands of job seekers who receive Newstart Allowance, Youth Allowance or Parenting Payment.

"This is a simple, user friendly, time saving app for regular transactions by job seekers, such as reporting income, applying for an advance payment, requesting a statement of payment summary or checking their account history," he said.

It follows the October release of the Android version of Express Plus Job Seekers. The Android version is available from Google Play.

Express Plus Job Seekers joins another recently released app, Express Plus Students, which has been downloaded by more than 65,000 students nationwide.

Job seekers must be registered for online services in order to access the app. To register for Centrelink Online Services and to find out more about Express Plus Job Seekers, go to humanservices.gov.au/expressplus.
