One Nation candidate's daughter bashed at school

THE daughter of One Nation's candidate for Fairfax has allegedly been bullied and bashed by a female student two years her senior.

Mike Holt said his 13-year-old daughter was left traumatised after being bashed at a Sunshine Coast public high school on Tuesday.

Mr Holt made national news recently for selling anti-Islam stickers carrying the slogan: 'Beware! Halal food funds terrorists'.

But Mr Holt said believed the assault was not related to his candidature and was "just a purely personal vendetta".

The attack was the culmination of eight months of bullying that had led her to become progressively fearful, introverted and caused her grades to drop.

"I just wanted to alert people that things like this happen, and it's not just in one school, it's rife in all schools ... and we need to change the system," he said.

The incident also hardened his resolve to introduce national service for 18-year-olds, to help instil discipline.

Mr Holt's daughter suffered a lump to the forehead, and cuts and grazes to her nose, cheek and lips.

He said she was also grabbed by the hair during the attack and flung to the ground, grazing her elbow and knees.

"When I got to the school, her nose was bleeding, her eyes were black," Mr Holt said.

"It wasn't just a slap, it was a beating.

"The girl actually boasted (on social media) about bashing my daughter, saying she deserved it - well, nobody deserves it."
