Falconi test for Stosur

SAM Stosur hopes her love affair with the red clay of Roland Garros continues when she faces American Irina Falconi in the second round of the French Open tomorrow night.

Falconi, ranked 112 in the world, has lost 10 of her last WTA events, the only victory coming via a retirement.

That dismal record looked set to continue when she lost the first set 3-6 to Edina Gallovits-Hall.

But the American took the following two sets 6-3 6-1, making just two unforced errors in the third set.

Stosur breezed through her first round match against Brit Elena Baltacha 6-4 6-0, making just one unforced error in the second set.

The Aussie No 6 seed said it was a matter of concentrating on her own game, rather than worrying about what Falconi might produce.

"It's one of those matches where I've got to go out there and think about my own tennis more so than theirs," Stosur said.

Meanwhile the campaigns of fellow Aussies Casey Dellacqua and Anastasia Rodionova are over after both suffered first-round losses.
