Farmer makes sea-change from city to Southern Downs

DURING drought, most wouldn't expect property hunters to choose Warwick to settle down, but one new resident is proving there's still a lot to love about the Rose City.

Doreen Vance and Jemma Faux only moved to Silverwood six weeks ago, but already know they're here to stay.

Following the steps of a friend who moved to Yangan to have more acreage, Miss Vance couldn't believe how friendly the town was.

"The town is beautiful and the people are so nice,' she said.

"I call it my sea-change even though it's nowhere near the sea.”
