Farming sisters bring outfit matching to new level
FROM the curly locks on their heads adorned with homemade fascinators to their sparkly rainbow shoes, everything about the Crothers sisters matched.
They'd picked out their pink floral dresses together and purchased identical heart necklaces on a recent cruise.
While a couple of years may separate Kinley, 8, and Meghan, 10, in age, anyone could be forgiven for thinking they were twins.
But really, the two girls from a farm at Willowvale say they're best friends.
"We like playing games together and doing everything together,” Meghan said.
"After we fight we always just look at each other and laugh.”
While Kinley enjoys dressing up, Meghan prefers to wear outfits that are a little more low-key.
For the St Mary's School Warwick TAB Race Day today, they just so happened to like the same look.
"I like helping other people dress up but I like wearing comfy clothes,” Meghan said.
The sisters were feeling "fancy” at the races today, especially wearing fascinators with tall feathers they had spent about an hour making with their mother Lisa.
But they're no strangers to a bit of dirty, hard work.
Meghan and Kinley said they helped their dad Phil out on their farm, which is known for boasting flowers during summer.
"Usually we play in the back in the seeds,” Kinley said.
Known to each other as Meg and Kooch, the pair have plans to maybe work as artists together one day, although the eldest sister is unsure about whether she'll follow that path or instead be a school librarian or own her own bookshop cafe.
