Fatal crash in Goondiwindi

A 63-year-old man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash at Goondiwindi last night.

A police spokesman said initial information suggested that around 7pm the man was travelling east on Kildonan Road when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The local man was transported to Goondiwindi Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
