Father and son battle in basketball at WIRAC

BASKETBALL: The round in WIRAC basketball kicked off with a father/son battle, David Keenan of the Warwick Sentinels and his son Harry Keenan from Warwick Magic.

Magic beat Sentinels 45-37.

Both Keenan's were leading scorers for their teams in a tight game but the younger legs of the Warwick Magic proved the difference in the end scoring too many unanswered points late in the second half.

All Lin defeated Soulballer 66 to 26 in another dominant display. Jay Roberts led all scorers with 26 points for the game.

In the night's final game, the Warwick Sentinels defeated the U18 Team 29 to 18.

David Keenan backed up well for his second game on the night and led the scorers with 13 points and was well supported by teammate Andrew Page with 11.

The U18 Team played well all game and is showing real signs of improvement as the competition progresses.

SCORES: Warwick Magic d Warwick Sentinels 45-37, All Lin d Soulballer 66-26, Warwick Sentinels d U18 Team 29-18.
