Warwick set to feast at Jumpers and Jazz Festival
WARWICK residents will have their taste buds tickled and their ears soothed during the 12th annual Jumpers and Jazz festival.
Cafes and restaurants across the Rose City will hum along to the sounds of jazz and live entertainment, while they serve some of the region's favourite menus.
Residents can look forward to open microphone nights, long breakfasts, Creole banquets and supper clubs.
Queensland College of Wine Tourism head chef Andrew Simpson will create a three-course regional dinner accompanied with wines from the Darling Downs for the Inaugural Winter Dinner.
Festival co-organiser Tracy Vellacott said it would be all about al fresco dining and winter warmer menus.
"We all need a place we can drop into for a great coffee, a chat, a smile of recognition, and this sector is flourishing in Warwick with a number of new operators on board this year's festival," she said.
The Coffee Club, Rupert's Bar and Grill, Cafe Jacquis, the Abbey of the Roses and Bestbrook Mountain Resort will join the festival favourites in 2015.
Owner of Joie De Vivre Cafe on King St will also join in the festival activities as she stars in her own jazz and cabaret evenings.
For affordable fine foods and entertainment, our local pubs and RSL's have you covered.
Two big nights of Jazz will be held at the Hawker Road Function Centre with Dezzie D and The Stingrayz to perform on Friday, July 17 and the Craig Martin Swing Band on Saturday, July 25.
