Warwick Men's Shed receives a $4000 grant

FEDERAL LNP Member for Maranoa Bruce Scott announced yesterday the Warwick Men's Shed will receive $4000 from the Federal Government's National Shed Development Program.

"The Warwick Men's Shed will use the $4000 grant to improve disabled access to the building by purchasing a stairlift," Mr Scott said.

"Men's Shed play an important role in our community as it provides practical and social benefits for members and the broader community.

"It provides a welcoming environment where men of all ages can learn new skills, make new friends, be involved in volunteer work, or drop in for a cuppa and a yarn.

"Research suggests many men from the bush don't feel comfortable using structured health and support services, so Men's Shed helps them connect with local services to improve mental and general health as well as being involved in the community."
