Feel the freedom of Working Naked Day

IF YOU'VE ever wanted to feel naked at work*, today you have a valid reason to.

February 2 is Working Naked Day, and whilst it sounds like a day for a pants-off party, there is a much different meaning.

Working Naked is the name of a company created by Lisa Kanarek, and the day celebrates working from home, and the freedom it encompasses.

It challenges people to question the norm, and break free from the long-standing belief of having to sit in an office all day.

"I left the corporate world over 25 years ago and have been working from home commute-free, boss-free, and annoying-co-worker-free ever since,” Ms Kanarek said on her website.

"Instead of asking me when I'm going to get a 'real' office, people constantly tell me they wish they could work from home.

"They're tired of the corporate politics, the in-office fighting, and the long commute, among other things.

"They want to spend more time with their family and are eager to create some type of balance. The idea of not having to dress up every day (hello, yoga pants) is another benefit I hear often.”

  • If you are working in an office or public setting, please keep your clothes on.
