Fight from early this month results in heavy fines

A FIGHT on New Year's Day at the Killarney Hotel has resulted in two men being each given a ticket for $783.

Killarney police said the fight between two men was inside the hotel at 7.35pm on January 1.

"We have excellent CCTV footage of the incident,” Senior Constable Nathan Thompson said.

"This type of behaviour will not be tolerated.”

The $783 ticket was issued to the Warwick man at his home in Warwick at 11.15am Sunday and was for public nuisance and disorderly conduct on licensed premises.

Police visited the home of a 20-year-old from Killarney on Sunday and he wasn't home.

"I left a message for the man to visit me at the police station and he came in at 4.50pm and was issued with a $783 ticket for the same charges.
