Fight night means war

WARWICK boxer Kyle Teer will jump into the ring against Toowoomba star Will Young in a match-up promoter Brendon Smith reckons could be the fight of the night at Rumours in Toowoomba. .

There will be 10 fights on Smithy's Fight Night from 7pm Saturday with Teer expected to be up seventh.

The night will conclude with three international bouts featuring Thailand boxers with the same last name Sithsaithong.

Smith said boxers in Thailand were known by the name of their gym.

Young is trained by Smith while Teer trains under Chris Fox at the Warwick Boxing Club Gym.

Teer and Brisbane boxer Steven Wijanco won the award for round of the year in 2011.

Smith said Teer should have a great fight with Young.

"Will's all-action style has always been destined for the professional ranks," Smith said.

"Kyle is a never say die boxer and I predict it could be an absolute war from start to finish."

He is likely to be in the sixth or seventh fight of a 10-fight card. Teer will fight four three-minute rounds.
