Fire crew on scene at vehicle fire north of Warwick

FIREFIGHTERS rushed to the New England Highway this morning where a vehicle had caught fire.

A spokesman from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said one crew from Allora arrived at the scene near Geitz Rd, just outside the small Southern Downs town, about 6.45am.

Initial reports suggested the vehicle was a motorhome.

The spokesman said the fire was extinguished a few minutes after the crew arrived.

Paramedics were not called to attend but police have arrived on scene.
