ABOUT 150 acres of grassland is on fire off Sorrento Rd, Dalveen.


The Daily News attended the scene at 5pm this afternoon.


Incident controller on scene Jim Mitchell said it was believed the fire started from a welder mid-afternoon yesterday and reignited today.


Group officer Alan Payne said there were structures under threat, but at 7.30pm this evening, all were being protected.


The fire is still out of control.
