Firies rescue horse after single vehicle rollover

FIREFIGHTERS have rescued a horse after a vehicle rollover southwest of Toowoomba this morning.

The horse was being carted in a float travelling along the New England Hwy between Dalveen and The Glen when it rolled about 8.10am.

Emergency services responded and found the horse still inside the trailer.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services freed the animal which is understood to be recovering from the incident.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
