Popular Warwick Markets celebrate first birthday

THE Uber Markets are celebrating their first birthday with what will be the biggest market day yet.

"We're very excited by the first birthday," organiser Christie Russell said.

"We have been holding them for 12 months, and they have been getting bigger, with people who pass through Warwick and locals coming."

The markets kick off at 10am at Leslie Park, and will include free activities, live music and raffles amongst the stalls.

"It will be everything that we normally have, but we will be having a train carriage coming though," Miss Russell said.

"It's a tractor with a carriage for everyone to ride on."

The markets are held the second Saturday of every month.

Adults and children alike are encouraged to go along to enjoy the free entertainment.

"We have stallholders from Warwick and Stanthorpe and from all around the area," Miss Russell said.

"It's a great day for kids and parents.

"It's not too expensive, and we'll have some great food like wood-fired pizza."
