First frost for Stanthorpe

WINTER is slowly arriving in Stanthorpe, with the first frost of the year appearing around town this morning.

Temperatures dropped early this morning, with Tristan Meyers from Weatherzone saying temperatures dropped to zero.

“Temperatures between six and seven am lingered around 0.1 and 0.4°,” he said.

The rest of the day is expected to warm up slightly, with a low of 4°C and a top of 23°C.

Mornings are also expected to warm up slightly again, before cooler mornings return next week.
