MOTOR RACING: Warwick driver Matt Campbell has recorded his first podium finish in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.

The first two rounds of the series were in Barcelona, Spain, and Campbell was fifth in the first race and third in race 2 tonight (AEST). He was fastest qualifier for both races.

Campbell finished behind German driver Michael Ammermuller and Dennis Olsen from Norway in race 2 but less than two and a half seconds behind the winner. The same two were the top-two in race 1.

Campbell is driving for the Fach Auto Tech team and is one of three new drivers for his team in the supercup this year. He was the highest finisher for his team at Barcelona.
