Yoga takes centre stage for Youth Week
YOGA took centre stage in the Youth Space in Leslie Park yesterday as part of National Youth Week celebrations.
A small group of fitness fans joined an hour-long free yoga and pilates class under the keen guidance of instructor Jes Kerle.
Ms Kerle she wanted to get involved with Youth Week to encourage people to give yoga a go.
"I just want to get it out there and show young people how great yoga is," she said. "Yoga is a mind and body thing - it helps reduce stress, depression and anxiety."
National Youth Week celebrations continue tonight with laser skirmish at the Warwick High School, while a group of Warwick youths will travel to Goondiwindi tomorrow for a skating workshop.
The 10 days of activities and events wrap up on the weekend with a youth concert in the Youth Space from 10am Saturday and grand finale activities at the Warwick Town Hall from 5pm on Sunday.
