FITNESS FIRST: Runners pound pavement for Pentath-run

A LOOK of accomplishment, and relief, was plastered on the faces of runners outside the Sandy Creek Pub this afternoon as they completed the last leg of day one of the Warwick Pentathrun.

Some had already completed both a half marathon and 4.6km cross country today, before completing the 5km road race this afternoon.

Trio from Stanthorpe James Fox, Scott Beesley and Glen Brunckhorst had braved cold weather wearing balaclavas and gloves to train for the event.

While Brielle Erbacher was pleased to be the first woman across the finish line.

Check out all the happy snaps from the action this afternoon and get ready for another big day of competition tomorrow.

The Queen Mary Falls Cafe 10km Ascent starts at 6.45am before the final race, the Voyage Fitness 1500m on Palmerin St starting at 11am.
