Five things on this weekend in the midst of holiday madness

THE first week of school holidays is coming to an end but don't let boredom sink in.

Here are some activities to try at the weekend.

1. Ladies Day

SATURDAY is Ladies Day so let the members of the Warwick Water Rats treat you like the queen you are.

Delightful platters of nibbles will be prepared and served with champagne, each guest will receive two complimentary drinks.

Don't forget in the midst of the glamour there will also be a game playing. The B Grade squad will be taking on USQ Saints and the A Grade team sees Gatton Black Pigs against USQ Saints.

Festivities kick of at 1pm tomorrow and tickets are $10 per person. Proceeds will go towards Southern Downs Ark.

2. Visit from Santa

TAKE the kids to the Criterion tomorrow between 11:30 and 2pm and get them on the nice list this Christmas with a visit from Santa.

The entire venue will be decorated for the Christmas in July event happening all day Saturday.

Dress up in your favourite Christmas cheer and present from Santa for the most creative ensemble.

There will be a special festive menu and carols sung on the day.

3. Glitz, glamour and bingo

TAKING centre stage, four drag queens will be bringing their fake eyelashes, fancy bling and naughty quick wit to guarantee a great night of entertainment at the Snow Queen Bingo in Stanthorpe.

The Exhibition Centre will be the hottest place in Stanthorpe when Bebe Gunn, Poppy Lectric, HOvanna Crown and Maxine Taxine host an hilarious night of bingo, drag show and karaoke.

THE iconic Bunnings sausage sizzle is always a family favourite on the weekend and with school holidays on there will be extras on site.
