Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.

Road Accident and Action Group's Graeme Ransley has pleaded with drivers to avoid entering flooded roads.

"The question must be asked, why then every time we have heavy down pours of rain, motorists persist in endangering their lives and rescuers by taking huge risks.?" he said.

"We ask, have the patience to wait for the water to go down, think about your family at your funeral.

"Think about the cost to you if emergency services charge for your rescue, think about your insurance may not pay for your vehicle. (And) if the road is closed, you may also have a huge fine and many points off your licence."
