Flashing lights flattened at Southern Downs railway crossing

ONE set of flashing lights at the railway crossing on the Warwick/Allora Back Road at Toolburra were knocked down in an accident at 7.30pm Friday.

Sergeant Shane Reid, of Warwick police, said a 60-year-old man from Clifton lost control of his vehicle and took out the flashing lights.

"I urge motorists to be careful at the crossing until both flashing lights are operational again,” Sgt Reid said.

The driver of the car received minor injuries in the accident. The crossing is also at the intersection of the Warwick/Allora Back Road with Evans Rd.

Police investigations are continuing.
