Letters: Right to refuse service to gays

Letters: MEL Chambers' letter (NM, 25/06) said it all - we still have the right to refuse service to anybody we perceive to be disruptive in our business or are just plain offensive.

If a hotel or club determines that you are unfit to be on their premises they will refuse service, so why not any other business?

We are being "forced to serve" people when we don't want to, because they will kick up a fuss and start yelling "I'm gay you have to serve me" ...whoopee.

It's about time we took a stand and put up signs stating that we won't serve people who offend our way of life or our beliefs as a condition of entry to our shops.

I just hope that the boffins in government don't make same sex marriage compulsory.
