Focus on movie skills at two-day filmmakers workshop
ARE you the next Spielberg or Tarantino and dying for a chance to see your work on the big screen?
As part of Social Inclusion Week, Southern Downs Regional Council and the Queensland Travelling Film Festival will host a two-day filmmakers workshop on December 3 and 4 at the Warwick Art Gallery.
Council community services manager Sheila Stebbings said Warwick and Stanthorpe art galleries would present workshops in December to help keep filmmaking skills in the region.
"These workshops are about building the capacity of the community," Mrs Stebbings said.
"The concept of this workshop and project has been discussed for the last two years as a desired activity to celebrate people with a disability.
"Both galleries are excited to form a cultural partnership with council and Disability Services to work together to engage people of all ages and abilities.
"This is a chance for the community to come together to highlight social inclusion and access issues, and celebrate achievements and contributions of people with a disability.
"The soul of the festival is about teaching and inspiring budding film makers in regional and rural communities to understand that there are no boundaries to what you can achieve through film."
Register by November 23 for your chance to join the program.
