Thanks for the memories Warwick
FOR the past four months I have called this country town home and today I'm saying goodbye.
As a young university graduate I came to this town feeling unbelievably scared, alone and unsure of what my future might hold.
Since then, I've come to know many of our readers and have seen some amazing things take place in this beautiful part of the world.
It's with great sadness I leave such a tight-knit community behind.
If I have ever come across you in my time as a reporter for the Daily News, I'd like to say thank you.
Thank you to those who made my experience here a good one.
Thank you to those who were willing to share their stories with me.
You were the ones who helped me take my first steps in my career and I'll cherish these stories for the rest of my life.
There were some hard days and times where I left work feeling incredibly sad for lives lost and families torn apart.
But, there were plenty of happy days when I shared wonderful moments with this town.
Journalism is one of the many loves in my life and thanks to Warwick, my love has grown.
Next week I'll hit the road and head north to Bundaberg to test my skills on radio.
If you're in the area, look out for me and say hello.
