Crews put in fire break to protect land

UPDATE 11.15am: Fire crews have managed to bring multiple spot fires under control at a private property at Goomburra.

Four crews from Allora and Gladfield-Maryvale Fire Brigades responded to the grass fires about 9.55am.

A spokeswoman from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said crews reported there were a couple of small fires at the property, which was situated just outside Allora.

At 11.15am they reported the fires had been brought under control.

They are now working to put in a fire break to protect the remaining area.

INITIAL 10.45am: Fire crews from Allora Fire Brigade and Gladfield-Maryvale Fire Brigade are responding to a grass fire at Goomburra.

A spokeswoman from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said four crews were on their way to the blaze, which started about 9.55am a couple of kilometres outside Allora.

The fire is reportedly burning on a private property but is not threatening infrastructure at this stage.
