ALI Gosbell wants to graduate from junior dragsters to bikes as she follows her motor racing dream.

The Warwick and District Drag Racing Association member was Queen of the Track at the Mackays Furniture Transport Junior Dragfest at the weekend.

Gosbell is based on the Gold Coast but competes at all meetings at the Warwick Dragway.

"Drag racing is a chance to see all my friends," she said. "After juniors, I am going into drag bikes."

The King of the Track award was won by Brookwater driver Ben Wilcox.

There were 40 races on Saturday in the boys and girls and age group events.

Rain yesterday morning halted proceedings until noon.

Organiser Mick Mundey said the association received excellent support from interstate and overseas drivers.

"All the kids had a blast. Many drag racers who weren't competing turned up to support the event," he said.
