Free concert in Weeroona Park

EVERYONE is invited along to attend a free concert in the park this weekend.

Over the coming weekend, the Stanthorpe RSL Band with the Gold Coast Brass Band, will be hosting a free workshop and performance.

On Saturday, any budding musicians or those interested in learning are welcome to attend the workshop at 10.30am at the band shell in Weeroona Park.

Then on Sunday, the bands will be holding a free concert in the band shell from 10.30am-noon.

The musical director will be Aaron Buchanan and the presenter will be acting RSL Band president Malcolm Gamble.

Mr Gamble has said that this free concert is something the band hopes they can continue.

“We plan to do this twice a year from now on,” he said.

“Since we have another band coming along it was the perfect time.”

The RSL band also meet every Thursday at 6.30pm in the band shell, with budding players welcome to attend.
