Fullback the best as Cowboys win well

RUGBY LEAGUE: Fullback Dylan Galloway was the players' player as Warwick beat Oakey 66-0 in the TRL A-grade game at Oakey.

The score was 26-0 at half-time.

Warwick scored 13 tries and winger Dan Watson landed seven goals.

Dylan Galloway waas outstanding closely followed by halfback Paul Cantwell, back rower Mick Bloomfield and winger Dan Watson.

Coach Craig Mullaly said he was impressed with the commitment of his team.

"We kept our completion rates high and our mistakes down to build up early pressure which is what we talked about at training,” he said.

A clearance came through before the game for last year's grand final back rower Matt Marshall to return to the field for the Cowboys.

"Matt came off the bench and played half a game,” Mullaly said.

"He played a couple of games at Coffs Harbour this season but has come back to Warwick for work and family reasons.”

Mullaly said there were a few bumps and bruises but no major injuries in the A-grade game.

Craig Donn will return from a shoulder injury and Josh Cruice will be back from a hand injury for the game against Valleys on a Sunday afternoon in a fortnight at Father Ranger Oval.

Brandon Vaughan was one of the best in the reserve-grade game which Warwick won 16-8.

The reserve-grade game was called off early following a neck injury to new Warwick recruit Matt Lawrence.

Lawrence was taken to hospital but Mullaly said all reports on his condition indicated he was recovering well. He was released from hospital on Saturday night.

In the under-18 game, Warwick won 20-14 to make it three wins from three games at Oakey.
