Hudsons Circus bring multi-million-dollar production to town
ROLL UP, ROLL UP, Hudsons Circus is coming to town.
Hudsons Circus will present a new, multi-million-dollar production with a full cast of international artists, from Canada, Chile, the US, Brazil and many Australian award-winning and world record-holding artists who have played in many European and North American circuses.
The two-hour show includes a large range of extraordinary well-trained animals including camels, water buffalo, horses, llamas and Brazilian macaws.
Hudsons is currently the only circus in Australia with two baby zebras on display.
Circus director and ringmaster Shane Lennon is a fifth-generation circus performer and, with his wife Nancy and five children, owns and manages the show.
Mr Lennon said circus was 22 hours of hard work for every two hours of glamour.
He said Hudsons Circus had a comfy seating plan in a brand-new 34m-diameter red and yellow big top manufactured in Italy during 2013, with its 20m diameter foyer and trailer-mounted animal tents, this Big Top city was an unforgettable sight and an attraction in its own right.
The atmosphere inside the tent was provided with the sights and sounds of yesteryear with popcorn and fairy floss stalls with traditional circus music played before the show and during intermission.
Every show was an experience to leave the audience spellbound, Mr Lennon said.
Attractions include the daring tightrope, Australia's largest performing mixed animal act, six dancing stallions, aerial artists, acrobatic routines, Western style whipcracking and rope spinning act, a full flying trapeze troupe direct from a recent tour of Europe, and crazy clowns that would inspire side-splitting laughter.
There were many other artists and animals in the fantastic, fast-moving show, said ringmaster Shane Lennon.
