TEAMS hit the pitch today for the annual Condamine Sports Club Warwick Australia Day Cricket Carnival.

It was the perfect day for a hit on the pitch, with the rain holding off so players could make their mark at the crease.

Colourful team shirts were the order of the day as teams battled it out for all important points on the first day of the three-day carnival.
