GALLERY: Ball-goers swept off their feet in masquerade glitz
ELABORATE masks could not conceal the fun guests had at the WIRAC Masquerade Ball last night.
Stunning sequins, smart suits and mysterious masks filled the Leslie Dam YMCA camp hall when guests rocked up to fill tables and swoon to sultry music.
The first of its kind to be held in Warwick, the ball raised money for WIRAC's Aquatic Disabilities program and the YMCA Cancer Survivor Program.
Cr Neil Meiklejohn gave a heartfelt speech about the need to make the journey easier for cancer "warriors" and commended the organisation on its work.
With a stunning dress from Never Wear It Twice, Anna Ramsay was crowned belle of the ball.
But beau of the ball Rod Kelly, would more fittingly have been called "Pharaoh" in his Egyptian mask.
A match made in stunning blue, Kai Etherington and Amber Christensen took the award of best dressed couple.
But when it came to photos guests were truly swept of their feet.
Tom Potts shined in front of the lens as his friends lifted him into the air.
After a delicious three-course meal, the guests swayed to the voice of Deeny Kohler-Caporale and her jazz band.
The night, while wild and mischievous at times, was greatly enjoyed by all.
