THE Leukaemia Foundation Warwick and District Branch welcomed a crowd of about 50 people for its Annual General Meeting.

Starting with a dinner, the evening then featured a talk from guest speaker Suzanne Galloway.

Mrs Galloway spoke about her own battle with polycythaemia vera, a rare bone marrow cancer affecting only one in 100,000 people.

The management committee was also re-elected into their roles in the branch.

The group is comprised of president Graham Buchner, secretary Doreen McGahan, vice-president Mary Bourke and treasurer John Ryan.

Held at St George's Masonic Centre, the evening was an opportunity for the community to support a worthy cause.
