BULLYING has torn apart families and been inflicted on our leaders, so yesterday Warwick rallied together to say enough is enough.

On the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence, the Southern Downs Regional Council joined forces with the Queensland Police, headspace and Southern Downs Suicide Prevention Network to raise awareness about the damaging issues.

An event at Rose City Shoppingworld featured booths where residents could gather information about services and listen to guest speakers.

Darling Downs Hospital and Health Services CEO Dr Peter Gillies spoke about the need to create a community that encouraged people to speak up about mental health issues.

"It's not always easy to see the signs but knowledge is power,” he said.

Assumption College student leader Mary Higgins delivered a speech about the virtues and dangers of social media.

"Social media is not good or bad, it just is, the power lies in the individual users,” Mary said.

Check out a few pictures from the big day and remember to speak out, even if your voice shakes.

If you need help, phone Lifeline on 131114.
