ST MARY'S Catholic Primary School held the second round of its swimming carnival on Monday.

Rooney Red came first with 504 points, Blue placed second with 443 points and Gold came third on 383 points.

There were some standout performers at the carnival, such as 11-year-old Cameron Martin who couldn't swim last year but this year entered every event including 100m backstroke, breaststroke butterfly and freestyle.

He was named runner-up in his age group.

Nine-year-old boys: Aiden Byrne, R/up Thomas Albrand.

Nine-year-old girls: Ellyn Moore, R/up, Olivia Groves.

Ten-year-old boys: Joshua Collins, R/up, Jake Vincent.

Ten-year-old girls: Lauren Trotman, R/up, Holly Shepherd.

Eleven-year-old boys: Cameron Reardon, R/up Cameron Martin.

Eleven-year-old girls: Katelyn Fischer, R/up Imogen Fox.

Twelve-year-old boys: Steven Malbon, R/up Jesse Scanlan.

Twelve-year-old girls: Lesleigh Vincent, R/up Charlotte Stevenson.
