Gangsters and gals ready to Charleston
ORGANISATION is well under way for the Great Gatsby and Gangster Ball in aid of the Allora RSL, the Allora State School and St Patrick's School, being hosted at the Allora Community Hall on the evening of Friday, August 30.
Stepping into the Community Hall for the novel event will allow all attending to experience the roaring 20s, a time of Gatsby, gangsters, flappers, prohibition, gambling and all that jazz!
The Community Hall doors will open at 6.30pm, the ball under way at 7.30pm and finish at 11.30pm.
The licensed Prohibition Bar will be open to serve refreshments and soft drinks, and supper will be provided.
Themed dress is optional but encouraged, pre-bookings are essential and can be made at Allora Pharmacy, with admission prices $10 adults, $5 children and $30 for a family.
Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed couple, male, female and family at the Great Gatsby and Gangster Ball.
The 'Last Gangster Standing' raffle will also be drawn with first prize of $1000. Tickets in the raffle are currently available at Allora Pharmacy at $20 each.
