FORMER Katter Party Senate candidate Bernard Gaynor has taken to social media to vent his thoughts on the recent parliamentary shenanigans, but it seems the Iraq war veteran has taken to poetry to express his views.

Mr Gaynor already has a blog where he speaks about issues including multiculturalism and Christianity, and is an avid user of Twitter.

In a recent Twitter post, Mr Gaynor rhymes about newly resigned minister Chris Bowen.

"He backed Rudd, his name is mud," the five-line poem says.

Mr Gaynor has also aired his creative side to take swipes at the Katter party.

"Parliament votes but where's Katter, he likes to think he does matter," the poem reads.

Mr Gaynor was suspended from Katter's Australian Party in January after he took to Twitter to say he would not allow gay teachers to work with his children, and resigned from the party last month because he said Katter's Australian Party was failing to take a stand against abortion.

Found wanting & owing
He backed Rudd

That's the real story
He won't run

Plus Gillard's end'll still be gory

On the leadership spill:

It's too close to call
Over who'll stand tall
Gillard or Rudd
Or some other dud
Regardless, Labor will fall

On Bob Katter:

Parliament votes but where's Katter
He likes to think he does matter
But he's not there
He's left his chair
Not much substance -just chatter

On independents:

A question of confidence?
But indies on the fence
Will they say yes
And Abbott bless
Or wait to give Kevvie his chance

On Harmony Day:

On National Harmony Day
It seems the Labor way
Is to go to war
Blood on the floor
It's a spillard replay

On Simon Crean:

Simon says its time to vote
While KRudd gets to gloat
Its a spill
What an auspol thrill
It's another Labor PM smote

On Rudd and Gillard:

Rudd wants the myth of glory
That's the real story
He won't run
It'll spoil the fun
Plus Gillard's end'll still be gory
 

On Malcolm Turnbull:

So the spill is on today
We can all say hooray
Julia will go
It's Rudd tomorrow
With Turnbull the winner I'd say
