Gel blaster shooting at Stanthorpe State High School

THREE men have been charged after allegedly shooting gel blaster guns at Stanthorpe State High School on Wednesday.

The men, aged 19 and 20, allegedly fired several pellets out the front passenger window of a silver Triton dual cab as they drove past the school on the New England Highway about 1pm.

The school office was targeted and the office window shot at, police said.

One of the men stepped out of the back seat of the car to speak briefly with the school vice-principal.

Police say the car fled the scene shortly after the man returned to the ute.

Stanthorpe Police intercepted the ute at Amosfield St and apprehended the men.

The men have been charged with going armed to cause fear and are due to appear in Stanthorpe Magistrates Court on June 19.
